SMÚ is a signatory to the Mutual Recognition Arrangement of the International Committee for Weights and Measures (CIPM MRA) for the mutual recognition of national measurement standards and calibration and measurement certificates issued by National Metrology Institutes. Based on the results of international comparisons and the evaluation of its quality management system, the calibration and measurement capabilities (CMCs) of SMÚ are published in the publicly accessible CMC tables of the Key Comparison Database (KCDB) maintained by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM). These CMCs are internationally recognized by National Metrology Institutes and accreditation bodies represented within the Global Accreditation Cooperation (GLOBAC).
