Chemistry Department

The Chemistry Department is an organizational unit of the Slovak Metrology Institute (SMÚ). Its primary mission includes research and maintenance of national and other standards, provision of metrological services, and preparation and certification of reference materials (CRM).

• Calibration of reference materials for gas mixtures

• Distribution of CRMs prepared and calibrated at SMÚ
• Verification and type testing of alcohol breath analyzers
