Mandatory Disclosure of Information
The Slovak Institute of Metrology (SMÚ), as a public authority under Section 2(1) of Act No. 211/2000 Coll. on Free Access to Information and amendments to certain laws (Freedom of Information Act), as amended (hereinafter referred to as the "Freedom of Information Act"), is required to disclose information in accordance with Section 5(1), letters a) to f) of the Act, including:
- The establishment of the public authority, its powers and competencies, and a description of its organizational structure.
- Location, time, and methods of obtaining information, including details on where requests, proposals, initiatives, complaints, or other submissions can be filed.
- Location, deadlines, and procedures for submitting appeals, including options for judicial review of the authority’s decisions, explicitly specifying the requirements that must be met.
- Procedures that the authority must follow when processing all requests, proposals, and other submissions, including the relevant deadlines that must be adhered to.
- A summary of regulations, guidelines, instructions, and interpretative opinions under which the authority operates and makes decisions, or which define the rights and obligations of individuals and legal entities in relation to the authority.
- A schedule of administrative fees charged for official acts and a fee schedule for providing access to information.
These provisions ensure transparency and enable the public to access essential information regarding the operations and responsibilities of SMÚ.
