Certified Reference Materials

A Certified Reference Material (CRM) is a reference material accompanied by a certificate, where one or more values characterizing a property are certified with an uncertainty at a specified confidence level. This certification is achieved through a procedure ensuring traceability to the correct realization of the unit(s) used to express the value(s) characterizing this property.

Guarantee

The Slovak Institute of Metrology (SMÚ) guarantees the declared values stated in the CRM certificates for the duration of their validity.

In the case of justified claims regarding the delivery of damaged goods, SMU will replace the delivered CRM or refund the paid price of the respective CRM, provided that the defect is reported within 30 days from the date the CRM was received by the customer.

Delivery Time for CRM

CRMs will be delivered to the customer immediately after invoice payment unless a specific delivery date is agreed upon in the order. For CRMs prepared upon request, the delivery time will be subject to agreement.

  • In-person pickup – at the Metrological Services Department (Pickup is possible based on a prior phone agreement.):

Portfolio of Certified Reference Materials- CRM

CRMs are prepared by staff of the Chemistry Department in their laboratories and are subsequently calibrated by primary or secondary standards of the relevant quantities. The full portfolio can be found in the price list or in our catalog.

SMU, through the KCRM, certifies reference materials from other Slovak CRM manufacturers and approves reference material certificates from foreign producers.
