The 28th meeting of the General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM) is taking place in Versailles, France, from 13 to 15 October 2026, bringing together representatives of Member States and the international metrology community.

The Slovak Republic is represented at the meeting by representatives of the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing and the Slovak Institute of Metrology.

Key topics on the agenda include the future redefinition of the second, support for the development of biotechnology and quantum communications, as well as digitalisation and the further development of the international measurement system.

The meeting agenda is available on the website of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM).
